ATTENTION ALL WHS FAMILIES: Those interested in supporting WHS Athletics are invited to attend the upcoming WHS Athletic
Boosters Meeting on Monday, February 27th at 6:30 pm in Room 6. Since this year's board members are all senior parents, we
really need to have parents of 9th, 10th & 11th grade students get involved! We need you!!! WHS Athletic Boosters supports & funds

SENIOR NIGHT at VARSITY BOYS' BASKETBALL: It's Senior Night on Friday, Feb 10, 7 p.m. at the Westmont gym, as we honor the
graduating seniors from both the boys' varsity basketball team and the girls' cheer squad. Immediately following will be the Warriors'
last home game. Come cheer on your Westmont Warriors as they take on the Willow Glen Rams. Admission is free with an ASB
Card.
ANNOUNCING THE FIRST WESTMONT HIGH SCHOOL FACULTY AND STAFF TALENT SHOWCASE! Come see some of
Westmont's finest display their hidden talents to an audience of students and parents! Acts include music, comedy, and some
special features!
One night only: 7pm on Thursday, February 16th at the Westmont Performing Arts Center.
This event is sponsored and organized by the Westmont Music Boosters, so please come along, enjoy the show, and support the
music program at the same time.Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. They are available through the Activity Office at

SONOMA CHICKEN COOP! Hey Westmont families, come join us on Wed., Feb. 15th at Sonoma Chicken Coop in downtown
Campbell and help support our Safe and Sober Grad Night. Dine in/take out between 11:00 am. - 10:00 p.m. and Sonoma will
donate 15% back to this event. You must present the attached flyer. Not just for seniors, bring your friends, family & neighbors!

ATTENTION WESTMONT STUDENTS & FAMILIES: The WHS PTSA February 2012 newsletter is now available at http://www.
westmontptsa.org/files/February_2012_PTSA_Newsletter.pdf . This issue, as well as the one for April 2012, will be distributed
electronically only. This will help to save costs, reduce environmental impact, and still get information out to our student families.
The June issue will be mailed to student homes. All issues are available as PDFs on the WHS PTSA Newsletter website for viewing

CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH: Today’s great African-American is Langston Hughes. Langston Hughes was a prolific poet
whose works inspired jazz music and advocated for equality. Hughes was a central figure of the Harlem Renaissance (McDougal
Littell)

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Speech and Debates annual Valentine’s Gram fundraiser at lunch outside the activities office. Grams
are a dollar, songs and Psycho donuts are two dollars. Perfect for friends, teachers, and that special one. The Last day to buy grams
is Monday, Feb. 13th (Mr. Pinza)
ATTENTION SOPHOMORES: If you are interested in A.P. U.S. History for next year, there is a meeting at lunch today in room 32.

STUDENTS: There is a lunch meeting for AP Physics B on Monday in Room 65. If you are interested in taking AP Physics B next year,

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COLLEGE TRIP PARTICIPANTS: Do not forget our mandatory student/parent meeting Wednesday, Feb.
15th at 7pm in the Cafeteria. We will be giving out important trip information. Also bring $10 cash for tips.
CSF EXECUTIVE BOARD will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 14th in Room 53. Please be prompt.
